# Can I permanently delete a store?

Not on your own, and usually you do not need to. Deactivating already takes a store out of service and off your active list, while keeping its payments, refunds and invoices as the financial records they are.

If you genuinely need a store removed rather than deactivated, contact support with the store handle.
