What is leverage here?

An offer carries a leverage setting (for example “5x”). The amount actually locked and put at stake is the leveraged amount, not just the base amount — so leverage increases both the potential winnings and the amount you risk. The staked (leveraged) amount is what shows as locked in your escrow.
